Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading structural steel fabrication company, in their search for experienced Fabricator Welder to work in their workshop near WiganFor the successful Fabricator Welder our client is offering: Hourly rate of £17.12 per hour PAYEBasic Salary of £35,609 per annumOvertime paid at x1.5 £25.68 & x2 £34.24Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pmOvertime available afterhours and on weekends25 days holiday Bank HolidaysBirthday leaveBuy & Sell up to 5 days leave per yearMedicash Health BenefitReferral SchemePensionPermanent Opportunity The role - Fabricator Welder Fabricating structural components.Plate perpetration, using different methods Oxy – fuel gas cutting & Hand Grinding, pressure testing, drilling & lock fittingFit, fair and tack weld steelworkReading and interpreting engineering drawings.Operating various tools and machinery.Assembling the parts into a structure, usually by welding it, but sometimes using bolts and rivetsFinishing off the assembly, using tools like grinders and polishers to smooth the surfaceEnsuring high-quality standards are met.Following health and safety protocols What our client is looking for in a Fabricator Welder : City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in fabrication or welding / PlatingProven expertise in fabrication and welding. ESSENTIALProven experience in the Marine / Nuclear / Steel fabrication / Off-shore / Petro-chemical or Construction industries - ESSENTIALPrevious experience with Heavy Gauge Fabrication/ Plating work - ESSENTIALSignificant experience in structural steel fabrication - BENEFICIALAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings.
