We have a contract requirement for a Construction Manager to work on a clean water treatment site in Kent. This role is inside IR35 and offers the potential for hybrid working.

You will report directly to the Operations Manager and your role will include managing Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability with responsibility for ensuring compliance for all construction activities. You will manage your local construction delivery team to ensure all work complies with project deliverables.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Lead and manage site construction teams within designated portfolios to deliver projects within approved budget and schedule; facilitate project construction kick-off meetings and conduct health checks.
2. Oversee the performance of suppliers regarding Safety, Time, and Quality; approve RAMS ensuring they are appropriate and adequate.
3. Lead Constructability Reviews, Project Rehearsals, and Fit for Assembly sign-offs to promote performance and innovation.
4. Drive initiatives focused on zero waste and reducing embodied carbon during construction activities.
5. Ensure site teams raise relevant contractual and commercial notices promptly.
6. Work with the Lead Construction Manager to determine resource needs (labour, plant, and materials).
7. Ensure full H&S compliance, fostering a safe environment where team members feel confident and empowered to raise safety concerns.
8. Implement standard products and innovative techniques to maintain industry leadership.
About The Candidate
Skills/Experience
* Temporary Works Experience/Qualification
* Project Management Experience
* Degree or equivalent in a construction-related discipline
* APMP or equivalent
* Extensive experience in large-scale construction programs
* Experience in the water/wastewater treatment industry
* Management and monitoring of Project Programmes
* Knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Delivery-driven with target-setting ability
* Ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams to meet time, cost, and quality targets
* Strategic, operational, technical, and managerial skills; commercially astute
