Job Opportunity: Kitchen Assistants - Whitby Area.
Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently registering agency kitchen assistants to cover temporary roles within schools.
These roles are as-required, ideal for candidates looking to top up their regular hours or seeking flexible part-time work.
Working Hours:Typically 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, depending on the school's requirements.
? Duties Include:
* Assisting with food preparation
* Serving meals to students and staff
* Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment
* Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
* Following food hygiene and safety procedures
* Supporting the cook or catering team as needed
Requirements:
* Previous kitchen or catering experience preferred
* Driving licence and own transport preferred but not essential
* Must hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service (£18/year) - or be willing to pay £59.50 for a new Enhanced DBS
* Completion of online training:
o Food Hygiene
o Safeguarding
o Keeping Children Safe in Education
Pay Rate:£12.71 per hour, paid weekly in arrears via Berry Recruitment
