About the Role:
A specialist education provision in Devon, in partnership with Teaching Personnel, is seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Person to join their team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the learning environment remains safe, clean, and functional for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out day-to-day general maintenance and repairs across the site
* Conduct routine checks on fixtures, fittings, and facilities
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
* Liaise with leadership staff and external contractors when needed
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a maintenance, caretaking, or facilities role is desirable
* Basic skills in plumbing, painting, and general repairs
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* A proactive, dependable, and flexible attitude
* Must be available to work term-time only
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
Working Pattern:
* Full-time (Monday to Friday), or
* Part-time (3 days per week)
* Term-time only
