This is a great opportunity to join a passionate and supportive group of psychological professionals working in Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust’s (GMMH) Wigan community services. You will be an active member of the community psychological professions leadership team and professionally lead the psychological professions in the Wigan locality. The Trust’s psychological services are innovative and well respected and you will be able to collaborate on local, regional and national work. The role will bring the opportunity to support the ongoing development of community services as they are strengthened in line with the Community Transformation Framework and the NHS 10 Year Health Plan for England.
Responsibilities
The post-holder will provide psychological clinical and professional leadership to the adult community mental health services in the Wigan locality. This covers services provided by the Referral and Assessment Hub, specialist community mental health teams and the age inclusive neighbourhood mental health team as well as CERN pathways. Working closely with the adult and older adult community psychological professional leads within the care group and operational staff, the post holder will help continue to support the governance and development of a high-quality psychological service in the community and to ensure that current resources are used most effectively.
