About the Role
The organisation is seeking a full-time Software Development Team Leader to guide the development of software supporting the deployment of its diagnostic platform into clinical settings globally. The successful candidate will lead a team of software engineers while collaborating closely with quality, regulatory, data science, and clinical laboratory teams.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Ideal applicants will bring:
* Proven experience leading software development teams and delivering robust, scalable software solutions.
* Experience working within a Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 13485) or on safety-critical software (e.g., IEC 62304).
* Strong skills in writing Software Requirements and Software Architecture Specifications.
* A degree in a quantitative or engineering discipline (e.g., computer science, physics, engineering, bioinformatics) or equivalent professional software engineering experience.
* Demonstrated programming expertise in Python.
* Solid understanding of software testing practices and code review processes.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation for internal and regulatory use.
* Strong organisational and project-management abilities, including planning team workloads and driving delivery toward milestones.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across scientific, technical, and operational functions.
Beneficial (not required):
* Knowledge of machine learning or AI-based data analysis approaches.
* Experience with C/C++, R, or additional programming languages.
* Familiarity with database administration and maintenance.
* Experience in cloud computing or DevOps environments.
