1. Pay - £ per hour, £21,112 per year based on 35 hours per week, £ per hour for under 18’s.
2. Plus, up to £3,600 per year in tips (based on last year’s figures, paid weekly), giving total potential earnings of £24,712 per year.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic chef in themaking, to join our fabulous team at our Cookery School in Padstow to start aRick Stein Chef Apprenticeship program in autumn 2024. This opportunity offersyou the chance to settle in and experience the kitchen environment over thesummer period and start your college day release journey later this year. You'll be working a 4-day week with theaddition of 1-2 evenings per week, alongside our team of talented chefs,delivering wonderful cookery courses to our guests.

What you’ll be getting up to
5. Providing essential support to the kitchen team.
6. Making sure the Chef Lecturers have everything they need.
7. Keeping the area clean & clear including washing up.
8. Basic food preparation.
9. Learning Barista skills as you will be making delicious coffee.
10. Working as a team to provide excellent service.
11. Talking to Customers.
12. Learning on the job a wide breadth of cooking techniques and skills and being inspired by our Chef Lecturers to progress to the next level.

Our Story
Rick and Jill Stein started our family run business back in 1975, and today weemploy over 600 happy staff. The business has grown from the first flagshipSeafood Restaurant in Padstow to 10 restaurants across the south of England,plus hotel rooms, cookery school, shops and an online shop. Rick and Jill arestill heavily involved in the business, as are their three sons Ed, Jack andCharlie.

From our Cookery School right through to our maintenance department; our support teams ensure our guests have wonderful experiences with us. Our admin and operational support teams play a key part in the smooth running of the business; joining all the dots and planning ahead. At Rick Stein's Cookery School looking after customers is what we do best. We love going the extra mile and we take pride in doing the right things in the right way. We offer fish and shellfish demonstrations by our team of Chef Lecturers as well as hands on cooking sessions which range from half day workshops to 4 day long courses. It's not all about seafood as we do lots of other interesting day courses. Indian Seafood, Far Eastern, Italian, Mexican and of course fish and shellfish to name a few, plus some wonderful patisserie sessions.
