Learning & Development Manager – Early Careers
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Location: Based in either Manchester, Birmingham or Marlow
An established organisation is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead its Early Careers portfolio during a maternity cover period. The role sits within a wider People function and plays a key part in building a strong learning culture and high-performance workforce.
Reporting to the Head of L&D, you will design, deliver and continuously improve Early Careers programmes, including induction and onboarding, apprenticeships, internships and work experience. You will act as the central point of contact for Early Careers and manage a small L&D team of four.
***It is essential that you have Early Careers experience for this role and have managed a team of experienced professionals***
Key Responsibilities of the Learning & Development Manager – Early Careers:
Lead and oversee Early Careers programmes from onboarding through development
* Manage and coach a team of L&D professionals
* Collaborate with People, IT and senior stakeholders to deliver seamless learning experiences
* Facilitate training and oversee LMS content, communications and reporting
* Manage multiple L&D projects, budgets and external partners
* Coach and support managers and leaders across the business
* Use feedback and benchmarking to continuously improve learning impact
Key requirements of the Learning & Development Manager – Early Careers:
* Proven experience in an L&D role, including people management and Early Careers including graduates, apprenticeships, intern etc.
* Confident facilitator with strong stakeholder and communication skills
* Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities
* Commercially aware; experience in a sales-led environment is an advantage
* Passionate about developing people and driving positive change
