Optometrist – 10 Clinical Sessions per Week
An exciting opportunity to join the Optometry team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
Role Overview
The post holder will deliver care across a variety of sub‑specialities within Optometry and Ophthalmology, including glaucoma, medical retina, unscheduled care, complex contact lenses, and paediatrics.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in delivering clinical care across multiple sub‑specialities
* Provide assessment and management for patients across the eye department
* Collaborate closely with multi‑professional teams to deliver core and extended‑role services
* Engage in teaching, audit and professional development activities
Qualifications & Skills
* Qualified Optometrist (registration required)
* Experience across glaucoma, medical retina, contact lenses or paediatrics is desirable
* Welsh language skills desirable at Level 3 Speaking/Listening (or B1); not essential for written reports
Work Commitment
Ten clinical sessions a week, with a minimum commitment of two days per week. Full‑time and part‑time options are welcome.
