Let's grow together … What you'll be doing Work as a "critical partner" to the 1st Line of Defence, providing support and strategic direction in line with Paragon's Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), providing effective oversight and challenge covering the key risk components such strategy, appetite, risk categories and risk and control Deliver continuous improvement in Operational Risk processes and internal control standards ensuring these inform and help further embed the overarching ERMF including supporting the policy framework and repository for relevant risk categories Contribute to a Risk Based approach to assurance, ensuring effective oversight and challenge in respect of operational risks Lead the continuous improvement of Paragon's control environment through maturing the risk awareness, understanding and engagement with the ERMF Support in the delivery of the governance and reporting processes around Operational Risk Working hours Monday - Friday - hybrid role working 37.5 hours per week. About You What you'll bring to the team Success in this role and as a team is about looking for new ways of doing things, being innovative and looking for pragmatic and effective ways to ensure risk management remains relevant across the business Previous experience of working within Financial Services, ideally within both first and second line risk management roles with the ability to balance commercial needs and growth with risk management practices - Experience of Operational Risk ICAAP would be advantageous Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels including senior management with particular focus on negotiation, influencing and leadership skills, this includes excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills to cut through data and insights to identify priority areas of focus, and articulate simply and clearly Detailed knowledge of risk management frameworks within Financial Services, including tools, techniques and practices for managing Operational Risk with a strong background in Key Risk Indicators and Controls development and monitoring
