Early Years Practitioner Broughton Primary School Nursery Salary: £29,173 - £33,287 Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks per year Working week: Monday to Friday Shifts: varying between the hours of 7.45am and 6.10pm (available on request) Candidates must supply two references to be considered for shortlisting. This role requires working shift patterns, therefore please only apply if you can undertake these within the days and hours specified above. The applicant must be eligible for registration (without conditions) with the SSSC as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children, in possession of a practice qualification as noted in the attached job profile. Broughton Nursery offers Early Learning and Childcare to children aged 3-5 years. The nursery is located in the North East of the city and operates across two sites, one is part of Broughton Primary School and the other is based within Drummond Community High School. This is an exciting opportunity to join our skilled and motivated team. At Broughton we are committed to providing an excellent early years' experience, based on mutual respect, partnership, participation and fun. We are looking to recruit a full-time, passionate and driven Early Years Officer to join our existing dynamic nursery team. Our staff team is made up of a combination of 52-week staff and 39-week, term time staff. This position will eventually be based within the new purpose-built centre which will be in the vicinity of the school and is due to open in the future with a capacity for up to 120 children. The successful applicant must demonstrate experience in forming good relationships with children, parents, staff and the wider community. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
