We are looking for an accomplished Pre-Construction Manager to head up and develop the regional pre-construction function within the South of England.
Our client is a leading regional contractor with deep roots in the UK construction sector, operating across design, build and project management.
This is a high-impact role, responsible for managing bids, driving innovation, and securing projects that support long-term business growth. You will work closely with the Regional Director, senior leadership, and wider teams to craft winning strategies and maintain a market-leading presence.
Pre Construction Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of estimators, bid writers, and proposal coordinators to deliver successful bids in line with company objectives and policies
* Oversee the preparation and submission of fully compliant bids and proposals, ensuring deadlines are met
* Define and implement innovative and effective bid strategies in collaboration with leadership teams
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to drive business development
* Continuously improve processes, champion innovation, and ensure best practice across all pre-construction activity
* Support bid and delivery teams by offering guidance on risk, value engineering, and commercial considerations
* Track and analyse bid performance, applying lessons learned to improve future success rates
* Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to keep the pre-construction approach competitive and effective
