Hours: 3 hours per clean, 5 days per week (Monday–Friday)
Start Time: Any time after 4:30pm
Contract: Term time only (no work required during school holidays)
Pay: £13-£13.50ph based on experience and performance
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and strong attention to detail cleaner to join our evening cleaning team for a school. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within a school setting, ensuring all areas are ready for use the following day.
This is a term-time-only position, making it ideal for individuals seeking consistent evening work during school terms, with school holidays as non-working periods.
Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Cleaning and disinfecting classrooms, corridors, restrooms, and communal areas
* Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all relevant surfaces
* Emptying bins and disposing of waste responsibly
* Replenishing consumables such as toilet rolls, hand soap, and paper towels
* Ensuring cleaning standards are consistently maintained
Requirements & Skills
* Previous experience in commercial or janitorial cleaning (preferred but not essential)
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Good organisational skills and time management
* Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe equipment use is advantageous
