Person specification
Knowledge, skills and training
Essential criteria
1. Vocational masters degree in Pharmacy (4 years or equivalent) plus one year pre-registration training
2. Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
3. In depth therapeutic and clinical knowledge and understanding of the principles of evidence based healthcare
Desirable criteria
4. Postgraduate clinical pharmacy diploma or equivalent experience.
5. A member of or working towards Faculty membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
Job specific experience
Essential criteria
6. An appreciation of the nature of primary care prescribing, concepts of rational prescribing and strategies for improving prescribing
7. Evidence of involvement in the development of programmes of care, protocols and audit
8. Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
Desirable criteria
9. Have an understanding and working knowledge of the FP10 data management system (ePACT).
10. Experience of co-ordinating complex activities / programmes of care with other professionals and agencies.
Personal qualities/attributes
Essential criteria
11. Effective communicator able to communicate highly complex and sensitive information where there may be barriers to understanding.
12. Demonstrates accountability for delivering professional expertise and direct service provision
13. Able to work independently.
Information Technology
Essential criteria
14. Confident in the use of computer systems, spreadsheets, databases, data collection and coordination, wordprocessing and report writing
15. Understanding of information governance, data protection and patient confidentiality in relation to information systems
