Description Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Service Coordinator to join our team in the Fife Area. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a salary of £13.49 per hour (FTE £24,552 per annum). The successful candidate would need to live within and work across the Fife area. About the Service Coordinator role: You will coordinate and facilitate the operation of groups for older people across Fife. The role of a Service Coordinator is to design, prepare and deliver activities for the groups on a weekly basis. Alongside supporting the Service Manager with the co-ordination of Volunteers, including recruitment and training, to enhance the overall service provision provided to those attending the groups. Some of our groups cater for people who live with dementia and their carers and you will be expected to deliver services to the same standard for these people. Location: You will be working across the Fife area. In order to fulfil this role, the successful candidate will need a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle with business use car insurance. Business mileage will be reimbursed via expenses. Hours: 24 hours per week, 6 hours a day, including a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Requirements Knowledge Understanding of the benefit of group settings and activities for older people A knowledge and experience of dementia (personal and/or professional) Safeguarding vulnerable adults Skills Excellent communication and listening skills Good organisation and facilitation skills A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance (mileage paid/reimbursed) Experience Experience of working with older people. Working with people living with dementia and/or their carers will be an advantage. Delivering activities within a group setting. Ability to proficiently use standard IT systems – Microsoft Office/Word/Excel, client database entry and management.
