Job Description
SRM is preparing for the commencement of a major programme of construction works in Port Talbot, South Wales. The works will involve heavy construction/civil engineering across various industrial work fronts over the next 3 to 4 years, starting with enabling works before the main programme begins in Q3 2025.
If you are a Civil Engineer with experience working on large, multi-million-pound, multi-disciplinary projects, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join our team in Port Talbot. You will work on an interesting, complex, and technically challenging project valued at over £200m, undertaken under an NEC contract.

The Assistant Planner role
* Be part of a planning team, reporting to the project-based Planning Manager.
* Assist with development and validation of site programmes.
* Integrate and update programmes within SRM's master programmes.
* Establish and collate progress records, performance indicators, dashboards, etc.
Your profile
* A construction-related diploma or degree qualification.
* Good understanding of building sequencing.
* Working knowledge of 3D models, preferably Synchro.
* Competent in using Powerproject.
* Good understanding of planning, programming, and progress reporting.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience working with a main contractor.
