About The Role
Motability Operations is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Coalville on a full-time, permanent basis. You will join a team of dedicated inspectors identifying bodywork defects on vehicles within the preparation department. The ability to work collaboratively, efficiently, and with a keen eye for detail is essential in this vehicle refurbishment and quality control environment. This role reports to the Quality Control Supervisor. You will ensure that the quality of our vehicles consistently meets MO standards at our Coalville site, within a dedicated Quality Control building. This is an exciting opportunity for a logical individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspect all stock vehicles entering the preparation department in a timely manner.
2. Identify all areas of concern including scratches, dents, and poor previous repairs.
3. Allocate rectification tasks to the appropriate department (e.g., Bodyshop or SMART repair).
4. Liaise with the Bodyshop and SMART department management teams.
5. Report Health and Safety issues immediately to shift management.
6. Raise issues to management as soon as possible.
7. Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times.
8. Achieve the KPIs associated with this role.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have previous experience in vehicle inspection or assessment, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and adapt your inspection approach as required.
Minimum criteria:
1. Experience in Vehicle Inspection/Assessment and/or Bodyshop roles.
2. Full UK Driving Licence.
3. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
4. Strong organizational skills and effective communication.
5. Flexible and proactive approach to work.
6. Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
7. Disciplined and process-driven.
8. Fast-paced mindset.
9. Keen eye for detail.
