This newly created HR Specialist position is a full generalist role based at our Head Office in Basingstoke. Working closely with, and reporting to, the Group HR Support Specialist, you will contribute to the delivery of a wide range of HR services across the Group, including support for head office teams, several international payrolls, office management activities, and coordination of global learning initiatives.
In this role, you will engage daily with colleagues across the organisation (from China to Mexico) and play a key part in ensuring consistent, high quality HR service delivery. Key Responsibilities
Even in this entry level position, you will quickly become a key point of contact within the global HR team, developing a solid understanding of HR processes, systems, and compliance requirements. You will proactively support the:
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
* Assist with end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including recruitment administration, onboarding, contracts, probation tracking, changes to terms, and offboarding.
* Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR data integrity across HRIS and supporting systems.
* Prepare HR documentation and correspondence to a high professional standard.
Payroll & Benefits Support
* Support the coordination of several international payrolls by gathering monthly employee changes, verifying data accuracy, and liaising with payroll providers.
* Assist in administering employee benefits and responding to employee queries.
Learning & Development Coordination
* Support global learning coordination activities, including managing training schedules, maintaining training records, and preparing training materials.
* Assist with the delivery of internal training and development initiatives.
Office Management Support
* Contribute to office management tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the Basingstoke Head Office environment. Supporting health & safety, facilities coordination, and supplier management as required.
Reporting & HR Analytics
* Compile HR data for regular reporting cycles, audits, and management information.
* Help analyse HR metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Employee Relations & Policy Administration
* Provide first-line guidance to employees and managers on HR processes and policies.
* Support the Group HR Support Specialist with casework preparation, meeting notes, and follow up actions.
General HR Project Support
* Assist with Group HR initiatives, process improvements, and ongoing enhancement of HR services delivered across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Recently graduated / graduating this year in HR, business, psychology, or a related discipline— or have initial HR experience and a strong desire to develop further.
* Willing to progressively develop within the CIPD professional framework
* A quick learner with excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
* Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
* Able to draft clear, professional documents and presentations for a variety of stakeholders.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office applications—particularly Excel—with strong analytical ability.
* A confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and professionally at all levels.
* Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek guidance.
* Be based in, or close to, Basingstoke, Hampshire to enable regular on-site presence within our Group’s Head Office
