This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.
In the role of Residential Experience Officer Wellbeing, you will support the team in promoting and supporting positive student wellbeing within the University's residential community.
You will achieve this through acting as a first point of contact for students, to discuss any concerns that may require investigation or support. You will provide assistance to students in partnership with other departments and services as appropriate, and in line the framework of University policies and procedures. You will also contribute to and help to facilitate initiatives that seek to improve or support student wellbeing in halls.
In this role you will be responsible for maintaining a proactive, reassuring, and visible wellbeing presence within all Halls of Residence. You will ensure effective working relationships are in place with the various teams that operate in the Halls including Porters and Security as well as staff in our Partner halls of residences.
The role will include responding to and investigating wellbeing concerns and incidents within halls, conducting wellbeing checks, as well as assisting in the management of student wellbeing caseloads and facilitating the provision of ongoing support. A key part of the role involves completing reports and updating departmental records and databases.
You will be a team player as the role requires you to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders relating to a range of health and wellbeing related topics. You will be effective at problem solving, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be positive, approachable and proactive.
We have two positions available. These roles require driving the work van to visit students and staff at all our campuses so a driving license will be required.
The post is a 4 days on, 4 days off rolling rota including weekends and bank holidays/closures days (extra time and payment made for these in line with University policy) working hours 2pm till Midnight.
