Wincanton are looking for a MHE Professional Standards Trainer to join the team.
Reporting to the Regional People Campus Manager (North)
An exciting opportunity as arisen for a MHE Professional Standards Trainer on a permanent contract with Wincanton. The role will be responsible for the management of the Wincanton HSEQ training programmes, assisting with the writing and delivery of health & safety training and operating equipment across the business whilst ensuring the programmes are continuously reviewed and updated in line with legislation and industry best practice.
In addition to core training responsibilities, the successful candidate will provide essential operational support to the broader People Campus team during periods where training requirements are at a minimum. This ensures the team's overall efficiency and agility, allowing us to adapt to changing priorities and maintain high-quality service.
Salary: - £32,000 + Car
Contract: Permanent – Full time
Location: National - with extensive UK travel
How will you contribute?
1. To deliver training to meet course objectives using a range of teaching methods.
2. To deliver RTITB Instructor Courses
3. To write and develop, high quality training courses as required in line with current company standards and objectives using a range of teaching methods
4. To write and develop bespoke high-quality training courses for specific customers as required
5. Regularly review and maintain course training materials to ensure they are always up to date with relevant material and legally compliant
6. Evaluate success and impact of training given
7. To produce timely and accurate reports for training analysis
8. Extensive UK travel
What will you bring?
9. Great understanding of Health and Safety practices
10. Current in date RTITB lift truck instructor qualification
11. Experience in delivering a wide range of MHE operators and MHE management courses
12. Current in date Lift truck operator certifications for all groups of rider operated reach truck, counterbalance, low level order picker, powered pallet truck, flexi truck, moffett and battery changing/charging safety as a minimum.
13. Dynamic and creative
14. The willing to be open for development in order to assist with widening the HSEQ course portfolio
15. Confident and proficient at writing and delivering presentations
16. Strong communication skills and verbally articulate
17. Highly organized
18. Strong attention to detail
19. Consistent, polite, approachable and helpful
20. Advanced user of PowerPoint
21. Open to new ideas and keen to explore new methods of training and delivery
