Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and delivering engaging English lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students
* Supporting students' understanding of literature, language, and creative writing
* Assisting with lesson planning, differentiation, and assessment tasks
* Fostering a positive and interactive classroom atmosphere
* Implementing behaviour management strategies aligned with school policies
* Providing constructive feedback through marking and informal assessments
* Participating in ongoing professional development, safeguarding training, and school initiatives
Who We're Looking For:
* A degree in English Literature, English Language, Creative Writing, or a closely related subject
* A genuine enthusiasm for education and supporting young people's development
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage a classroom confidently
* Experience in tutoring, classroom assistance, or unqualified teaching is desirable but not essential
* A commitment to progressing towards teacher training qualifications (PGCE, SCITT, QTS Apprenticeships)
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply
