SF Recruitment is working with a business based in South Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a Permanent Accounts Assistant, on a full time basis to join a small close knit team.
This role is due to an internal move within the department, reporting into the Senior Accounts Assistant you will look after the following:
Purchase and Sales Ledger - accurately processes invoices, matches purchase orders and resolves supplier queries.
Bank reconciliation - reconciles bank statements, credit cards and cash transactions.
Data entry - maintains accurate records on accounting software
Assists with VAT returns, month-end reconciliations and audit preparation
Financial Administration - handles petty cash and,manages post
Credit control -chases overdue customer accounts
Prepares payment runs on a weekly basis
Takes general telephone calls, transferring these to relevant person
Provides functional support for other departments - sales order & purchase order processing
Carries out general administration tasks.
You will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:

AAT or previous accounts experience preferred
Good communication skills & tenacity
Strong organisational skills
High level of integrity
