Job Description
Pertemps West Bromwich are looking for a Chemical Waste Compliance & Technical Lead to manage and oversee waste classification, compliance, storage and documentation within a regulated chemical environment.
Key Responsibilities
o Maintain and update waste logs and records
o Ensure staff are trained and competent in waste log use
o Manage on-site waste stock and bund quantities by classification
o Direct the Waste Supervisor on storage locations and sampling
o Liaise with QC to interpret waste analysis and ensure correct labelling
o Create and maintain waste SDS using EXESS (Lisam)
o Provide waste-handling advice across the business
o Support investigations into waste-related incidents
o Participate in audits and EMS activities (ISO 14001)
Essential Requirements
o BSc in Chemistry (or similar)
o Knowledge of Duty of Care regulations
o Minimum 2 years experience in the waste management industry
o Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Desirable
* CIWM/WAMITAB qualification
* Forklift Truck Licence
