IPRS Group are a leading health and wellbeing business comprising of 4 organisations all providing a diverse range of clinical products to a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors. IPRS Group provide support to our organisations whose services have a huge impact into improving the lives of thousands of people each year.

We are looking for a IT Support Technician to add a to our exciting, can do, up beat IT Support Team. Ideally you will have a can do attitude as well as euthanistic and customer oriented. If you think this is you then please read on.


The duties of the IT Support Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries from internal users, ensuring all information is captured into a defined task, together with desired outcomes. This also includes managing the support inbox, delivery exceptional service when dealing with requests that arrive via email, telephone or face to face. The IT Technician will perform a majority of break/fix IT issues with support from the IT Manager or Managed Service Provider. Additional duties include supporting other IT Team members resolving issues remotely or onsite.


Main job duties will include:


As an IT Support Technician for IPRS Group, you will be responsible for IT Support across the IPRS Group including:

* Provide IT Support to end users across all businesses
* Completing allocated tasks to a high standard
* Answering inbound calls, recording IT issue requests within a task, with desired outcome and time taken
* Handling of new hardware requests, including ordering, setup and distribution
* Completing assigned project work to a high standard as prescribed by the IT Manager
* Monitoring of Desktops, Servers and Networks



PERSON SPECIFICATION (E) Essential (D) Desirable


To be seriously considered for the role of IT Support Technician, please have the following:


Qualifications: (E) Essential (D) Desirable

* GNVQ/NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent or
* 6 GCSE/O level passes Grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent, including English and Math
* Recognized ICT qualifications (D):
* CompTIA A+
* CompTIA Security+
* MCSE: Server Infrastructure
* MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure
* MCSA: Windows 7/8/10/11
* Full UK Driving License (E)
* Ability to pass DBS Checks (E)


Experience:

* A minimum of 1-2-years IT experience (E)
* Experience of using various Microsoft programs (E)
* Experience of using IT technologies:
* Clients; Windows 10/11, Desktop, Laptop, Mobile Phones and tablets (E)
* Servers: Windows Server, Linux Distributions, Azure Cloud, 365, Exchange, Entra, Intune portals (E)
* Knowledge of 3CX Admin Console (D)
* Apple Business Manager Portal for Iphone Setup (D)
* Domain: Active Directory, Group Policies and File Servers (E)
* Security/Networks: Anti-Virus, Backups, Firewalls, Routers, VPN, Telephony (3CX) (D)

Knowledge:

* Using and Supporting Microsoft Office (E)
* Supporting computer networks (E)
* Installing PCs/Upgrading software (E)
* Supporting custom applications (D)
* Data download and transfer (E)
* Network and system monitoring (E)
* Routine system administration (E)


Skills:

Hardware Troubleshooting:

* Knowledge of computer hardware components.
* Ability to diagnose and fix hardware issues.

Software Troubleshooting:

* Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
* Familiarity with common software applications and troubleshooting methods.

Networking:

* Understanding of network protocols and configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.

System Administration:

* Managing and configuring servers (Windows Server, Linux).
* Knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and user management, Azure Cloud, 365, Exchange, Entra, Intune portals (E)

Security:

* Awareness of cybersecurity principles and practices.
* Ability to implement and monitor security measures.

Remote Support Tools:

* Proficiency with remote desktop applications and support tools.
* Experience with help desk software and ticketing systems.


Salary: £25,396.00 - £28,000.00 per annum

Location:Onsite Claydon, Suffolk, IP6 0FU

Hours:40 hours per week Monday - Friday

Position:Permanent position
