About the role:
We are looking for a Production Planner to join our poultry manufacturing site. This is a newly created, stand-alone role, acting as the link between Production, Transport, Cold Store, and suppliers. The site produces chilled and frozen meat products (no slaughter). You will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, and stock control, ensuring smooth factory operations and accurate inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
* Create daily and weekly production plans and schedules
* Align meat/raw material ordering with production requirements
* Balance capacity, labour, and materials
* Manage fresh and frozen stock control, despatch, and reconciliations
* Book transport and cold store space; raise POs
* Carry out stock counts, including monthly Saturday stock takes
* Maintain accurate production, despatch, and stock records
* Act as the main point of coordination across departments
About You
* Experience in a similar role within FMCG, food manufacturing, meat (ideally)
* Strong knowledge of production planning and stock control
* Comfortable in fast-paced, perishable environments
* Good Excel skills (pivot tables essential)
* Organised, resilient, and able to work under pressure
