Overview
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, organised, motivated and enthusiastic part-time Swimming Coach to help lead the delivery of our program for beginners through to the Year 8 Swim Squad throughout the academic year.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract type: Permanent, Term time only.
Required: October/November 2025.
Start date: TBC
Hours: Part time
Monday 1520-1600 hours Pre-Prep swimming,1615-1715 hours Prep swimming
Tuesday 1600-1715 hours Year 6-9 Swim Squad

About us
Pipers Corner is a Girls’ School Association Independent School for girls aged 4-18. Set in 96 acres of beautiful Chiltern countryside, the school is four miles north of High Wycombe and two miles from Great Missenden. In its most recent ISI inspection (March 2023) the school was graded as “excellent” in all categories.
About the role
The role is very varied, including both routine administrative tasks, such as selecting and producing team lists, and the opportunity to work directly with school students. It requires flexibility, good humour and a commitment to work hard as part of a strong team. Most of all, you will need to be able to demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter.

About you
As a coach we would expect you to have a detailed knowledge of the sport, a good standard of personal experience and the confidence to lead swimming coaching sessions across years 4-14.
Alongside the coaching, attendance and support at galas will be required throughout the season. A current lifeguarding qualification is a necessity.
The successful candidate would work with the Director of Sport, and other departmental members. The Director of Sport and her colleagues will provide full support to the successful candidate.
1. ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach Qualification as a minimum standard
2. High level of personal proficiency and experience in coaching swimming
3. Current lifesaving qualification
4. Good organisational and planning skills
5. Plenty of enthusiasm and the ability to motivate students
6. Extensive knowledge of your subject area
7. Flexible and self-motivated with a dedication to student achievement and quality
8. Good written and verbal communication skills; IT literate
9. Proactive and the ability to ‘think on your feet’
10. Clean driving licence and potential to drive the school mini bus
11. Team player
