YMCA Heart of England are looking for a Director of Business, Community & Youth to join the team based in Erdington, Birmingham. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, permanent basis. About the Director of Business, Community & Youth role A fantastic opportunity has become available at YMCA Heart of England for a dynamic Director of Business, Community & Youth with experience to lead our vibrant and growing service portfolio. This is a newly created role with important social impact, ranging from Youth, Nursery, Coffee Shop Enterprises and Community. You will be strategically minded with business management experience. Ideally in the charity/business sector, and with experience of working in collaboration with senior staff to ensure the organisation’s ethos, values and culture are maintained. The Director of Business, Community & Youth is responsible for leading the strategic development of operations by working closely with senior colleagues and managers to develop and implement clear action plans for the service areas. About you : The ideal person for this role will have a strong track record of management and leading teams through period of significant change, you will also have experience in the following: The ability to continuously improve delivery of service. Significant senior management experience. Experience of managing diverse operations across multiple site locations. Excellent communications and customer care skills The ability to develop and implement systems, policies and procedures robust enough to be open to external scrutiny. Experience/skills Substantial experience of managing people and resources Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Ability to use data to inform decision making. Substantial experience in Business, Community and Youth services Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget, with experience in service level agreements.
