Role Overview
The post holder will work within our Integrated Contact Centres (ICC) based across the North West. As a UECC you will be responsible for the remote assessment of patients whilst ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care through continuous achievement of high clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform remote triage within ICC's on a 24/7 basis, working a variety of shifts including full night shifts, bank holidays, and other public holidays.
* Provide clinical advice to both clinical and non‑clinical colleagues.
* Support staff returning to practice or new staff requiring mentorship.
* Manage the clinical queue and refer calls to partner organisations providing Clinical Assessment Services on behalf of NWAS.
* Commit to full‑time training (6–8 weeks) with classroom element Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00 for two weeks, followed by mentorship and live call experience.
Training and Development
The post holder will undergo initial training and a period of skill consolidation. Once consolidated, additional skills will be developed, including managing the clinical queue and providing clinical advice.
Qualifications
* Post registration clinical experience in a face‑to‑face, primary or acute care setting, emergency department or pre‑hospital role.
* Triage experience.
* Excellent leadership and mentoring skills to support staff.
* Resilient, highly motivated, and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.
* Ability to adapt to a new and challenging setting.
* Basic computer skills.
