What Are We Looking For?
RSE Controls is delighted to welcome applications for our newly created Health & Safety Manager role to join our team on a permanent basis, working from our Leeds office. Your role will involve ensuring that all RSE company's activities are carried out in accordance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and that all persons affected, either directly or indirectly, are not subjected to avoidable risks.
Please note that, owing to the nature of this role and the location of works, this position will require travel across England with occasional visits to Scottish-based projects.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
* Ensure that all activities comply with RSE's Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental management systems.
* Provide assistance on all matters related to QHSE issues to departments and individuals within the Ross-shire engineering group of companies as required, under the day-to-day direction of the Health & Safety Manager.
* Carry out QHSE inspections and/or audits at RSE company premises and construction sites to ensure safety and hazard mitigation.
* Complete relevant QHSE inspection and audit reports, highlighting issues/non-conformance, and issue reports to relevant project personnel and management.
* Assist and advise Engineers/Site Managers with Health & Safety risk assessments and safe working practices.
* Communicate and liaise fully with all departments within the business.
What Do You Need?
* NEBOSH general (Level 3) essential or working towards
* Practical understanding and approach to managing QHSE, with a focus on building relationships with delivery teams.
* Experience in Manufacturing and/or Electrical biased projects.
* Ability to engage internal resources at all levels to influence best practices.
* CDM knowledge preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
* Experience applying Health & Safety practices in manufacturing and construction sites; utilities experience is highly advantageous.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
