RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. – Year in Industry placement with start date in September 2026, full time, fixed term for 12 months. Hybrid model: 2 days per week onsite in Swindon or London, remaining days can be home-based.

About the role
* Gain knowledge and experience in:
o Consenting and environmental management processes during construction of an offshore wind farm
o Working in a large, recognised organisation
o Industry events and stakeholder engagement
o Environmental Impact Assessments, marine licensing, Development Consent Order (DCO) and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) planning
* Assist the team with:
o Consent or licence applications
o Writing and reviewing key documents, minutes, presentations, and trackers
o Assistant project management tasks
o Engagement with regulators/statutory stakeholders (e.g. Marine Management Organisation, The Crown Estate, Natural England, Local Planning Authorities, etc.)
Job requirements and experience
* You are enrolled in one of the following degree courses: Environmental science, Environmental management, Environmental biology, Renewable energy, Geography, Marine biology, Oceanography, Marine sciences or similar
* Your degree is eligible for a year in industry placement
* Very good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to coordinate your own workload and meet tight deadlines
* Comfort working in a diverse team environment and dealing with a range of stakeholders daily
* Willingness to travel to other sites if needed; travel expenses covered by us
* Motivation: your cover letter should explain why you’re a suitable candidate and how it aligns with your studies and career plans
Advantageous, but not essential
* Work experience within the renewables sector or transferable industries
* Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and similar software
* Salary of £25k per year and employee pension scheme
