Exams Officer – Secondary School (Leyland)

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting student success? We are seeking an experienced Exams Officer to join our dedicated team at a thriving secondary school in Leyland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running of all internal and external examinations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all aspects of the school’s examination process in line with JCQ regulations.
* Liaise with awarding bodies, staff, and students to ensure accurate and timely exam administration.
* Organise exam timetables, seating plans, and invigilator schedules.
* Maintain secure handling and storage of exam papers and materials.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and school policies.
* Provide guidance and support to students regarding exam procedures.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in an Exams Officer or similar administrative role (school experience desirable).
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Confident IT skills, including MS Office and exam management systems.
* Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and external agencies.
