What you’ll do:
We are seeking an EHS Manager responsible for: maintaining site ISO certifications; ensuring accurate and complete EHS reporting; closing MESH and regulatory findings promptly; training EHS personnel; liaising with the public and authorities; managing crisis responses; overseeing site security; and fostering a strong EHS culture involving employees across the site.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and direct the site in achieving EHS targets and objectives, supporting corporate and business group EHS strategies.
2. Facilitate risk assessments to identify critical hazards and environmental aspects, working with leadership to set risk reduction goals.
3. Determine and track appropriate performance indicators.
4. Support the creation of EHS goals for the site manager and leadership team to promote EHS culture and compliance.
5. Assist in assigning MESH element champions and engaging them in ownership.
6. Promote a zero-incident EHS culture.
7. Develop and facilitate EHS engagement initiatives through teams and committees.
8. Coordinate with leadership and MESH champions for annual compliance evaluations.
9. Pursue third-party recognition for EHS excellence.
10. Manage EHS data using systems like MESH Suite, tracking injuries, environmental metrics, and actions.
11. Create training matrices to ensure comprehensive training tracking and completion.
12. Ensure operational controls are in place, maintained, and issues resolved promptly.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or related field.
* Master’s degree or higher preferred.
* Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) recommended.
* Deep knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Cross-disciplinary EHS knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
