Are you graduating and seeking a career in media?
An amazing opportunity exists to join a progressive publishing and events group offering a media graduate scheme in London from October 2026.
Mark Allen, one of the UK’s leading independent media companies, is recruiting graduates for its annual scheme from October 2026.
This presents an exciting and unique opportunity to be at the heart of a progressive, fast‑growing and developing publishing and events business, joining a team of highly motivated and talented people, based at our London offices.
The group offers challenging and rewarding careers for enthusiastic people.
We would welcome applications from candidates who are able to meet the following key criteria:
* Excellent written and verbal English skills
* Drive and ambition, with a ‘can‑do’ attitude
* Confidence, self‑motivation and ambition
* The ability to build and develop client and reader relationships
The placement will offer you experience in either editorial, marketing, sales or events.
In previous years we have had huge numbers of applicants, mainly in editorial, marketing and events, but not so many in sales. This year we will be especially targeting sales‑orientated graduates to step forward. Our aim is that two places will be allocated to sales‑orientated graduates.
Working within our business areas in healthcare, education, music, business to business, agriculture and engineering, you will be presented with an excellent insight into media publishing.
A placement with the editorial, marketing, sales/commercial or event teams will empower you to develop your skills.
If it is an editorial role, you will write and sub‑edit print and digital content for the journals and magazines.
Experience in the commercial, marketing or events divisions will offer you the opportunity to develop strong client relationships or research and implement marketing campaigns.
If your chosen entry point is editorial, or even marketing, you will have the opportunity to join the magazine journalism high Level 4 training course organised by the National Council for the Training of Journalists during your first year.
The graduate scheme is for one year, for which you will receive a salary. Upon successful completion of your placement, this will lead to a potential full‑time and permanent employment position within the group.
A number of applicants will be shortlisted and interviewed in July and August from which a final selection will be made.
