Overview
Sharp Consultancy are recruiting a Payroll Assistant for a 6 month fixed term contract for a well established business in York.
Responsibilities
* Running the monthly payroll for all Group companies, ensuring timely and accurate input of timesheets, overtime, and other data.
* Ensuring compliance with starter and leaver documentation (e.g., P45s).
* Managing PAYE/N payments and reconciliations.
* Producing P11Ds and P60s within required deadlines.
* Ensuring compliance with auto enrolment requirements.
* Reviewing, maintaining, and administering expense claims in line with HMRC regulations.
* Managing HMRC communications, including RTI.
* Handling payroll, HMRC, and employee queries.
* Supporting the Payroll Manager in achieving Group strategy and goals.
* Carrying out other duties appropriate to the role.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Solid Microsoft Office skills and payroll software experience.
* Highly organised with the ability to multitask.
* Experience in a similar payroll role.
* Up to date knowledge of HMRC regulations related to payroll and timesheets.
* Experience with Dayforce payroll (desirable but not essential).
