RORO Driver (LGV C)
Hourly Rate: £16.02 per hour
Hours: 10.5 hours per day. Working hours to be agreed locally; typically 6:00am 4:30pm.
Location: Mid & East Kent
As an RORO Driver (LGV C) at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and professional waste and resource transport services across the Mid & East Kent contract and associated off-taker sites. You will be responsible for operating vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements, and providing excellent service to our customers.
This vacancy is for a casual position, operating between Monday and Saturday, with hours often increasing to up to 50 per week during the peak season (AprilOctober).

What will you be doing?
- Driving allocated RORO/LGV vehicles safely and efficiently, and emptying containers across contract sites
- Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly
- Completing and returning all required documentation accurately and on time, including tachograph records
- Reporting accidents, incidents and near misses in line with company procedures
- Following work instructions, routes and safe systems of work
- Maintaining a professional image both on site and on the highway
- Communicating effectively with the Transport Office regarding operational issues
What are we looking for?
- Full LGV C or C+E licence
- Digital Driver Card and Driver CPC
- Good understanding of driver hours, working time and road transport legislation
- A commitment to high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Flexible, reliable and customer-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Hookloader or drawbar experience preferred but not essential (full training provided)
