A leading manufacturer of bespoke equipment and systems are currently looking to recruit a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer for their Newport site. This company supply high quality products to blue chip clients and are a household name globally. This role is well suited to a graduate who has a strong mechanical engineering or product design related degree. Role & Responsibilities:
11. Responsible for product improvements, new product development, adaptation, specials and the administration and management thereof.
12. Take a lead role in improving quality through quality improvement initiatives and reducing component and product complexity.
13. Take a lead role in implementing programme of rationalisation and cost reduction.
14. Ensure all production drawings are checked for correct tolerances and are accurately drawn.
15. Resolve manufacturing issues relating to finished product and components.
16. Responsible for maintaining, updating and creating product BOM’s through mainframe structure programmes.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
17. Mechanical Engineering / Product Design Graduate.
18. Sound knowledge of relevant design/ manufacturing techniques.
19. Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
20. Able to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously.
21. A hands on personality who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
