Pertemps are recruiting Class C+E Night Drivers to work on behalf of our most prestigious client who are global market leaders in the logistics industry. Our client is based in Doncaster and supplies a logistical support operation to one of Britain’s largest retailers transporting products across the country and are the vital link between customers, stores, Warehouses & Outbases.
Fully paid assessment upon a successful pass.
Duties include:
1. Wagon & Drag trunking runs to RDC’s & Outbases
2. Box on Box off (Wagon & Drag)
3. Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers.
4. Supervising or helping to load and unload goods (rare)
5. Making sure loads are safely secured.
6. Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary.
7. Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks.
An ideal Class 1 Driver will have the following skills and experience:
8. Held LGV C+E licence for minimum of 6 months with no more than 6 points and free from serious endorsements for insurance purposes.
9. Valid CPC Card /DIGI card.
This is a 7-day operation, we are looking for drivers that are flexible & will work weekend shifts where required, start times anywhere between 15:00pm & 20:00pm.
In return the Class 1 Driver will receive the following rates of pay:
10. Monday to Friday Nights £19.03ph
11. Saturday All Hours £20.00ph
12. Saturday All Hours £23.00ph
All Drivers pay rates are based on PAYE, we do not accept LTD or Umbrella companies.
