Rate of pay: £14.24 per hour. Hours: 35 hours per week shared between two personal assistants or one person doing all 35. The job is based in Seafield, West Lothian. The employer is a young non‑binary adult looking for personal assistants to help with challenges due to health conditions and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
 * Personal care support, including getting out of bed and getting into bed
 * Mobility assistance, including wheelchair transport
 * Help around the house and light domestic care
 * Support engaging in activities at home and in the community
 * Build a trusting and consistent relationship, respecting communication preferences and sensory needs
 * Assist with preparation for upcoming college study
Qualifications & Requirements
 * Valid clean driving licence, willing to drive if required
 * Comfortable around pets/animals
 * Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme or willing to join
 * Proficiency in English and good communication skills
 * Hoist training, medication training, moving and handling training preferable or willing to learn
 * Autism awareness, seizure training, catheter care and understanding of disability desirable
 * Lived experience of neurodivergence or experience working with neurodivergent families preferred
 * Patient, reliable, calm, and able to have fun
Hours & Shift Patterns
35 hours per week split into two part‑time contracts. Shift patterns are flexible with a regular Monday – Friday 11:30 – early evening schedule, occasional weekend shifts and holiday support may be required.
