Overview
Salary £33,000 per annum. OTE £41,000. Location: Telford. Our client is a market leader in the UK providing industry leading solutions and products to the egg industry. They are looking for a UK Service Engineer to support their client base across the UK. The work is varied, including installation of brand new machinery, servicing and planned maintenance, as well as responding to breakdowns. There is also a helpdesk aspect to the role providing telephone support to clients. A willingness to learn, a positive attitude and integrity are key attributes our client is looking for.
Responsibilities
- A willingness to attend service and support calls at short notice
- Significant overnight stays and travel (up to 100 days per annum) – travel, accommodation and meals are paid in full by the client
- Installation of new machinery
- Planned maintenance and repair
- Emergency maintenance and repairs
- Some overseas travel in the first 18 months for training and to install machinery
- Provide helpdesk support to clients via telephone
Candidate requirements
- A minimum of five years experience in a relevant field (e.g., automotive, agriculture, heavy plant, production and conveyors)
- Mechanical and electrical engineering experience with a mechanical bias; time served candidates are welcome as there is no requirement to hold formal qualifications
- Ideally from a field engineering background
- Good communication skills
- Ability to use initiative
- A strong work ethic
- Self-motivated
- A clean UK driving licence
- A valid passport due to overseas travel to Ireland and the Netherlands

- Base salary of £33,000 with guaranteed overtime for an OTE of £41,000
