A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL
What you'll be doing..
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets, focusing on room bookings, events, and corporate accounts
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet individual and team sales objectives, providing guidance and training as necessary
Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel agents, and event organisers, acting as a primary contact for high-profile accounts
Identify new business opportunities through networking, partnerships, and proactive outreach, positioning the hotel as a preferred venue in the market
Conduct regular sales meetings to track team performance, discuss progress towards goals, and address any challenges
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with promotional campaigns and seasonal offers, ensuring effective, cohesive messaging across channels
Manage and negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and aligned with hotel revenue goals
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, inform pricing strategies, and position the hotel competitively within the marketplace
Prepare detailed sales reports, analyse key metrics, and provide insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making
Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and local business gatherings to strengthen brand presence and generate new leads.
What We Need from You:
Minimum of 3 years experience in sales within the hospitality or events sector, with a proven record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships effectively
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a sales team to meet ambitious goals
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and persuasive approach
In-depth understanding of sales principles and strategies, with experience in strategic planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
Proficiency in CRM software (such as Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to generate and analyse sales data
Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, including evenings and weekends, and attend off-site meetings or events as required
A positive, proactive approach with the ability to identify and act on new opportunities in line with hotel objectives
