The Role
As an RE Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students engage with topics such as world religions, ethics, philosophy, and moral issues.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Teaching RE across KS3 and KS4
2. Delivering engaging lessons on religion, ethics, and contemporary moral issues
3. Encouraging critical thinking, discussion, and debate
4. Supporting students with assessments and exam preparation
5. Planning differentiated lessons to meet a range of abilities
6. Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
7. Collaborating with colleagues across the humanities department

Requirements
To be considered for this RE Teacher role, you will need:
13. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
14. Experience teaching RE at KS3 and/or KS4
15. Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education and ethics
16. Confident classroom management and communication skills
17. A passion for RE education and student engagement
18. Eligibility to work in the UK
19. A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs, or humanities specialists with an RE background.
