Day to Day You will assess up to a maximum of six customers per day taking your clinical observations and questioning and creating a written report which you will pass on to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) who will make a decision on support for the customer, your report will only form part of that decision. You will assess a benefit called Work Capability Assessment. Training Customers will have multiple clinical issues; you will be given industry-leading training provided by my clients amazing clinical tutors. The course will provide you will the skills to support customers and transfer your current medical skills and knowledge to the level required for the role. Full training is approximately 6 months duration, during which you will be paid. This role will maintain your registration with the NMC or HCPC and you will receive revalidation support to maintain your registration. Development Once you have completed their comprehensive training, the investment in you does not end. You will have ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours CPD protected per annum, support with revalidation and the opportunity to develop your career within the organisation. You will be allocated a clinical supervisor and can study for the Diploma is Disability Assessment Medicine accredited by the FOM Your Requirements A Nurse, OT or Physiotherapist who is working primarily in-patient facing roles dealing with a wide range of clinical conditions. Minimum of 1 year working experience or above. Computer or IT skills are a distinct advantage. Typing or keyboard skills with an ability to type at 30 words per minute. The client group requires clinicians who are highly literate, have attention to detail and can display highly adaptable communication skills. What Youll Do Conduct functional assessment consultations with claimants Review medical evidence and create clear, structured clinical reports Work within clinical guidelines to ensure objective and accurate assessments Participate in ongoing CPD as part of the comprehensive training programme Enjoy consistent weekday hours with no shift work, no nights, and no weekends This role is open to qualified, registered clinicians with experience in adult practice, including: Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) Physiotherapists Occupational Therapists You must hold validNMCorHCPCregistration and have at least12 months post-registration clinical experience. Please note: This role isNOT suitableforRSCNs (Registered Sick Childrens Nurses)orMidwives, as it requires adult-focused clinical assessment experience in line with DWP standards.
