About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate retail manager to head up the Finisterre team at our upcoming new Leeds store. Our Store Managers play a vital role in bringing together and energizing our Retail teams. As our Leeds Store Manager, you will be the driving force that galvanises our Leeds-based community, representing the brand and bringing our spirit to life. Your character, passion and ability to inspire your team will be crucial as you manage rotas and oversee operations to create an exceptional retail experience that prioritises customer service and empowers the retail team to excel. A love of the sea and connection to the outdoors is essential, bringing a deep understanding of this lifestyle and a passion to share and encourage it in others. The successful candidate will have extensive experience overseeing daily store operations, ensuring activities align with our purpose and meet targets and KPIs. They will be an experienced leader who can motivate, support and guide staff to feel confident and fulfilled in their roles, driving sales growth while safeguarding the integrity and image of our brand within the retail marketplace.

Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
* Contribute to & implement the Finisterre retail strategy, feeding back insights from store to improve company performance and customer engagement
* Take additional responsibility as required, including covering other stores, acting as a training store, arranging group events, supporting new store launches & projects
* Implement visual merchandising plans each season using the store team to set up window displays and run in-store marketing campaigns, working closely with the Finisterre visual merchandiser
Customer Experience
* Demonstrate, understand and drive best-in-class customer service
* Challenge the team to deliver a blend of brand engagement with commercial opportunity
* Ensure the team align with our Brand positioning and values and communicate these naturally
* Act on customer feedback and take appropriate action with all parties
* Build a loyal customer base and positive relationships within the Finisterre community
* Deliver smooth customer transactions and educate customers on in-depth USP knowledge
* Contribute to service strategy, including management of social media where appropriate
* Work with the marketing team to deliver successful and engaging store events
Commercial
* Full ownership of the store P&L and performance; communicate store targets and future plans with the team
* Implement commercial changes to drive more sales
* Keep up to date with the trading calendar and own planning for seasonal or promotional activity
* Collaborate with merchandising to maximise stock opportunities
* Understand and communicate how retail goals fit into the overall company strategy
* Provide insights from store to HQ to improve company performance and customer engagement
Operations
* Ensure the store is staffed efficiently through effective rostering reflecting weekly trading patterns
* Manage stock by liaising with distribution and merchandising to maximise sales and minimise discounts
* Optimise conversion through effective visual merchandising and seasonal displays; collaborate with the visual merchandiser
* Manage store costs and communicate maintenance needs to retail ops
* Manage store security in accordance with policy, including staff, cash, stock, IT and buildings
* Manage health & safety for day-to-day running and events
* Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure the team keeps store tidy
* Take additional responsibility as required, including covering other stores, training stores, and supporting new store launches
People
* Be a role model, motivating, training and developing staff to reach their best
* Communicate company goals to the store team and participate in company events as needed
* Take responsibility for team development and seek improvement opportunities
* Recruit staff who reflect the brand values and commitment
* Ensure product knowledge is strong and continuous performance improvement is pursued
