This role involves processing waste uPVC materials into reusable granulate using specialised machinery, helping us maintain high standards of efficiency, quality, and environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor granulation machinery to ensure efficient processing of materials Sort, prepare, and feed uPVC waste into granulators in line with procedures Ensure all processed material meets required quality standards for reuse Carry out routine checks and accurately record production/output data Identify and remove contaminants from materials before processing Monitor equipment performance and report any faults or inefficiencies Assist with machine setup, cleaning, and basic maintenance Work closely with production teams to maintain a steady flow of reusable material Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste Person Specification Essential Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment Ability to follow processes and work independently or as part of a team Strong attention to detail, especially identifying material contamination Good communication skills Willingness to work shift patterns Desirable Experience in recycling, granulation, or materials processing Knowledge of uPVC manufacturing processes Mechanical aptitude or experience with industrial machinery Understanding of environmental and waste management practices Personal Attributes Reliable and dependable Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude Safety-conscious mindset Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
