GSL Education are seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Worksop. This role offers an opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping young learners develop confidence, emotional regulation, and a love for learning in a structured and nurturing environment.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.
* Foster a safe, calm, and supportive classroom environment that encourages emotional stability and engagement.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement individual learning and behaviour support plans.
* Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to promote motivation, resilience, and self-esteem.
* Monitor pupil progress, adapt teaching strategies, and provide feedback to support ongoing development.
Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (essential).
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
* A compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching approach.
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
