Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: Part Time, 15 hours per week Number of Positions: 1 Start Date: 1st September 2025 Salary: £24,027 per annum We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Lunchtime Organisers to join our fantastic team at Piper Hill High School These are Grade 2 permanent part time posts working 15 hours per week, 10.30-13.30 Monday to Friday, term time only. The starting salary is £8,857 and the full time equivalent is £24,027. To start in September as soon as pre-employm ent checks are complete. We’re looking for: We are recruiting for four part time Lunchtime Organisers to work in our special educational needs school. You will provide high quality support over lunchtime, supporting healthy eating, a range of lunchtime clubs, feeding and changing students as appropriate. The successful applicant must be able to work effectively with the whole school community including pupils, parents, governors and staff. You will need to be eligible to work in the UK with excellent spoken English to converse at ease to support pupils during their lunchtime. You will also need to have a b asic understanding of child development and learning. Main purpose of the job: You will supervise students in the dining areas and elsewhere as required to provide high quality support over lunchtime, supporting healthy eating, a range of lunchtime clubs, feeding and changing students as appropriate. You will help create an atmosphere so that the meal and lunchtime recreation is a pleasant experience for pupils and staff. Key responsibilities include: Develop good professional relationships with students and other staff members. Undertake activities with groups of students during lunchtime clubs e.g. football, outdoor play, magazine club, art club, sensory story club. To assist at tables and to support student food choices and development skills. To report serious incidents and accidents to Senior staff. Taking students who have minor accidents or are unwell to seek first aid where necessary, and if first aid is not necessary, comforting and reassuring them.
