Head of iD Transformation
Location: London. Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time. Grade: 6.
Role Overview
iD Mobile is a leading mobile virtual network operator, part of Currys PLC, delivering a range of feature‑packed plans to over 2.5 million customers. The Head of iD Transformation strategically drives our MVNO's roadmap, portfolio governance, and change initiatives, working closely with senior leadership and key partners.
Responsibilities
* Understand and translate iD MVNO’s strategic aims and priorities into a coherent, outcome‑led roadmap.
* Define, prioritise and govern the strategic change portfolio, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes and align with organisational strategy, commercial ambition and regulatory requirements.
* Lead the delivery of the iD in‑function change roadmap, including localised initiatives, solution enhancements and operational improvements.
* Build and maintain an outcome‑led roadmap, define success measures, benefits and risk visibility to support timely decision‑making.
* Lead multi‑stakeholder demand shaping and prioritisation across iD teams.
* Develop and implement an effective programme governance structure across the portfolio, ensuring disciplined oversight while respecting delivery accountability.
* Own portfolio governance, standards and frameworks to achieve consistent, high‑quality outcomes and risk mitigation.
* Provide strategic recommendations, surfacing risks and supporting executive‑level decision‑making.
* Own and manage change‑related expenditure with suppliers and procurement to deliver value.
* Influence across matrix boundaries, securing alignment, resourcing and strategic support beyond direct line control.
* Lead, inspire and empower a high‑performing portfolio team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in portfolio / change leadership, including leading teams and operating senior governance in a matrix environment.
* Strong portfolio strategy and investment prioritisation skills – translating business strategy into an outcome‑led portfolio and prioritised roadmap.
* Strategic planning, resource forecasting and demand management expertise.
* Demonstrated accountability and delivery of high‑value, cross‑functional programmes with measurable outcomes.
* Degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, management or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
* Programme Management qualification (e.g. MSP or equivalent).
* Project Methodology qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, PMP).
* Portfolio Management certification (e.g. PfMP, MoP, P3O).
