Location: HungerfordHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: From £89 per day About the Role We are looking for a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist all-age autism school in Hungerford. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, supporting children and young people with autism in a safe, structured and nurturing environment. What You’ll Do •Provide one-to-one and group support for students with complex needs. •Respond appropriately and sensitively to challenging behaviour. •Assist with personal care when required. •Support classroom learning and deliver tailored activities to meet individual needs. •Help implement behaviour and support plans, encouraging positive social and emotional development. •Facilitate communication, engagement and smooth transitions throughout the school day. •Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver high-quality care and education. About You •Previous experience supporting children with autism or other SEND needs is highly desirable. •Calm and confident when managing challenging behaviour. •Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks when needed. •Patient, empathetic and adaptable, with excellent communication skills. •Passionate about creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
