We are seeking a well-organised individual to provide effective clerical support to our stakeholders and customers.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing business support services, including processing manual and computerized client and service information.
2. Producing and analyzing reports.
3. Document production, including typing letters and reports.
4. Processing purchase orders.
5. Offering basic IT assistance.
6. Instructing, allocating, and checking the work of clerical staff.
7. Providing advice and guidance to clerical assistants within the team daily.
The successful candidate will be part of the senior Customer and Business Services team across the cluster and will be the first point of contact for clerical staff. Therefore, organizational skills, flexibility, effective customer care, and communication skills are essential, as you will regularly liaise with other Council staff and stakeholders.
Minimum requirements:
* Experience in a clerical role with a broad range of support duties.
* Proficiency with software packages including Microsoft Excel and databases.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and uphold quality standards.
* Self-motivated and resilient, capable of handling challenging and vulnerable client groups.
It is desirable that you have knowledge of procurement systems (PECOS), AIS, and Info@Work. Previous supervisory experience and an SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent are also desirable.
