Overview
NHS Highland invites applications for an enthusiastic, motivated senior staff nurse to join the Combined Assessment Unit, Belford Hospital, Fort William (17 assessment beds, 2 general enhanced care beds, 10 day surgery beds, pre-assessment clinic 6 days). Primarily based in the CAU with development opportunities in EC, Day Case Unit and Pre-assessment Department.
Responsibilities
* Provide senior nursing care within the Combined Assessment Unit and contribute to the EC, Day Case Unit and Pre-assessment Department as development allows.
* Support clinical teams in delivering high standards of patient care and contribute to service improvement where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Two years post registration experience at band 5 in an acute care area is essential.
* High dependency and AEC experience desirable.
Location and about the area
The Belford Hospital is situated in Fort William, Lochaber, the Outdoor Capital of the UK, offering opportunities for water sports, mountaineering and snow sports. Fort William is located at the head of Loch Linnhe and near Ben Nevis, with Glasgow, Inverness and Stirling within a 2 hour drive.
